Terms & Conditions of Inform

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of Inform, including our website at informreviews.net, the Inform web dashboard, the Inform Chrome extension and our free tools (together, "Inform", "we", "us" or "our"). By creating an account or using Inform, you agree to these Terms. If you are using Inform for a business or on behalf of a client, you confirm you are authorised to accept these Terms for them. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information.

  1. Your Account

    1. Eligibility: You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding agreement.

    2. Sign-in: You sign in with a Google account. You are responsible for keeping that account secure and for everything that happens under your Inform account, including actions taken by members you invite to your organization.

    3. Authority over locations: You may only connect business locations, listings and Google Business Profiles that you own, manage, or are authorised to manage (for example, as an agency acting for a client). If you are an agency, you are responsible for obtaining your client's permission to connect its accounts, process its review data, and publish replies on its behalf.

  2. The Service

    1. What Inform does: Inform reads reviews of the locations you connect, drafts replies with AI in the voice you choose, can post replies to Google on your behalf, applies the rules and templates you set, and produces summaries, insights and reports. Weekly insights can also include publicly visible reviews from Yelp and Tripadvisor listings you add.

    2. Auto-reply: If you turn on auto-reply, Inform will publish replies to your Google reviews without asking you first each time, following your voice, rules and remediation settings. You can turn it off at any time, but replies already published may remain visible. Review your settings and monitor published replies. Replies you generate manually are only posted when you post them.

    3. AI-generated content: Replies, summaries and recommendations are produced by AI and can be inaccurate, incomplete or unsuitable. You are responsible for the replies published under your business name, for checking content before relying on it, and for any contact details you ask Inform to include in replies.

    4. Third-party platforms: Inform depends on services such as Google, Yelp and Tripadvisor. Your use of those platforms remains subject to their terms, and their availability, APIs and policies may change in ways that affect Inform. Inform is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of Google, Yelp, Tripadvisor or Meta.

    5. Changes to features: We may add, change or remove features over time. If we remove a core feature of a paid plan, we will tell you in advance.

  3. Plans, Billing and Cancellation

    1. Free plan: The free plan is available at no charge, with the limits shown on our pricing page, such as the number of locations and a monthly allowance of AI replies.

    2. Paid plans: Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring basis through Stripe until cancelled. The checkout page shows the selected billing interval, amount, currency, trial, any promotion, and any applicable tax before you pay. Prices, limits and features are shown on our pricing page. Published prices are in US dollars unless the checkout says otherwise. Annual plans are charged as one yearly payment, not monthly instalments; the displayed monthly equivalent is for comparison only. A promotion applies only if it is valid for the plan and accepted at checkout, and may not combine with other offers.

    3. Trials: Where a plan includes a free trial, the checkout page states its length and the amount and date of the first charge. It converts to a paid subscription at the end of the trial unless you cancel before then. We may limit repeated trials.

    4. Cancellation: You can turn off renewal at any time through your billing settings or by contacting us. Cancellation normally takes effect at the end of the current paid period, and you keep paid features until then. Cancelling an annual plan does not normally refund its unused months. Except where the law requires otherwise, payments already made are not refundable. Your statutory rights are not affected.

    5. Price changes: We will give you notice before a price change applies to your subscription.

    6. Usage limits: Plans include limits (for example, AI replies per month or number of locations). When a limit is reached, the related feature pauses until the limit resets or you upgrade.

  4. The Free Review Audit

    The review audit at informreviews.net/tools/review-audit is provided free, for information only, from data Google publishes about a business. Scores, rankings and suggestions are estimates, not guarantees of search ranking or business results. Our handling of information in the audit is described in our Privacy Policy. We may limit use of the audit to protect it from abuse.

  5. Acceptable Use

    You agree not to use Inform to:

    • post replies that are unlawful, deceptive, harassing, discriminatory or that disclose a reviewer's personal information;
    • solicit, write or manage fake reviews, or violate the review policies of Google, Yelp, Tripadvisor or any other platform;
    • access, scrape or interfere with Inform, other customers' data, or our systems beyond the features we provide;
    • resell or white-label Inform itself, except for agency features and report branding expressly included in your plan; or
    • misrepresent your relationship with a business you connect.

    We may suspend features or accounts that break these rules.

  6. Your Data and Content

    1. Your content: You retain any rights you have in the business data, settings, templates and other content you provide. You give us the limited permission needed to host and process that content, provide the features you choose, secure the service, and comply with law, as described in our Privacy Policy. AI-generated material may not be eligible for exclusive ownership. You are responsible for having the rights and permissions needed to provide client and reviewer information to Inform and for your use of generated replies.

    2. Google data: Our use of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

    3. Export and deletion: You can delete your account from Settings, or ask us for access, export or help with deletion by emailing hello@informreviews.net. Account deletion ends access immediately and cancels subscriptions attached to organizations removed with your account. If an organization has other members, you may need to transfer ownership or reconnect its Google integration first. Our Privacy Policy explains what is removed and what records may be retained.

  7. Intellectual Property

    1. Ownership: Inform, including its software, design, logos and content (other than your content), belongs to us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, reverse engineer or create derivative works of Inform without our written permission.

    2. Feedback: If you send us suggestions or feedback, you allow us to use them without obligation to you.

  8. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

    1. Disclaimer: Inform is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not promise that Inform will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that it will improve your ratings, reviews or search ranking.

    2. Limitation of liability: To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim relating to Inform is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose, or 100 US dollars if you have not paid us. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded.

    3. Indemnity: You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from the replies published under your business name, your content, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of a third party's rights or platform terms.

  9. Suspension and Termination

    You can stop using Inform at any time and delete your account from Settings, or email hello@informreviews.net for help. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or to protect Inform, our customers or third parties. Where reasonable, we will tell you first. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including payment obligations, disclaimers, limitation of liability and indemnity) will survive.

  10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the new version here and update the date above, and we will notify you of material changes by email or in the product before they take effect. If you keep using Inform after that, the updated Terms apply.

  1. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable there, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. The courts of Ontario have jurisdiction over any dispute relating to these Terms or Inform, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere.
